Happy Halloween!

We went trick-or-treating on Friday, Halloween Eve, this year. Apparently, in Norman, if a holiday interferes with a home game the holiday gets moved. The city didn't want kids out walking the streets at the same time as game day traffic (the game was at 7pm).

Captain Rex and the Cutest Pumpkin Ever

We went around the neighborhood on Friday when TJ got home from work. Tristen was ready to go and lead the way most of the evening. Jack was the best little boy and loved riding around in his stoller. He was very happy to watch everything going on around him.

He was so precious, but almost everyone thought he was a little girl. I thought he was the cutest thing ever. Tristen was a good big brother, as always, and carried Jack's bag of candy to each door with him.

I took these pre trick-or-treating in case I couldn't get cooperation later on.

And finally, my sweet pumpkin all worn out from the stoller ride.

Hulk SMASH!

Two Easter's ago Aunt Sese brought home some talking Hulk hands for Tristen. They say "You're making me angry, you won't like me when I'm angry." and "Hulk Smash!" and other Hulk sayings from the movie. We've had a pretty good time beating each other up with them, but they've kind of been forgotten about. We watched the movie last weekend for our sleepover and that made us remember them so we got them back out. We put them on Jack before we took him to get his hair cut and it was pretty comical.

My (Big) Little Man

Tristen is going to be nine years old in less than a month. It's so hard for me to believe that he has gotten so old. I look at him now and I see a young man and I wonder how that happened. He has such a kind soul and sweet spirit. He is the most wonderful big brother and I am so proud of him.

Jack's First Haircut

Yesterday we took Jack to Walmart to get his first haircut. TJ wanted to take him out to the garage and do it himself (he cuts Tristen's hair), but I REALLY wanted to take him and get it done professionally just once. Thank you, honey.:) Jack didn't mind the clippers, but he did not like the scissors. I think he didn't like her pulling his hair up to cut it. Overall he did really well and we got lots of pictures and he looks like SUCH a big boy now.

Before.

After.

Getting Closer

Jack has been kind of afraid to use his little car walker until this morning. I stood him up and, with a little help from big brother, off he went!

Breathing treatments are exhausting....

The first night he had a fit and every night after he fell asleep almost instantly. The doctor told me yesterday that we don't have to do the breathing treatments anymore. Can I still put the mask on him every night, minus the meds?

Sleep Over!

Just after school started Tristen had his best friend Conner over for his (and Conner's) first sleep over. Conner came over after we got home Friday afternoon. They played outside and then played Wii and then we ate pizza for dinner. After dinner, they got out sleeping bags and watched a movie in Tristen's room. Surprisely they were out when TJ and I went to bed around 10! Saturday morning TJ had to work so I took all three boys to the YMCA. Tristen and Conner went swimming while Jack played in the daycare and I worked out. After we got home we had lunch and the boys played outside for about 2 hours and then it was time for Conner to go home. They plotted all the way to his house on how they could stay together that night. They never argued and I think they both had a great time. We're planning a bigger sleep over for Tristen's birthday and hopefully it will be just as successful!

Jack's First Birthday

One month ago today Jack turned one year old. I can't believe that it's already been that long. He's drinking real milk, he's eating table food, he's done with bottles, he's practically a grown man.

He didn't really get into the cake much. I thought he'd like it WAY more.

He wasn't really sure about opening the presents.

But, after he (we) opened all the presents he was pretty excited!

Thanks to both of our families for all the gifts. He loved them!

Bath Time

Jack used to love bath time, especially when big brother took one with him. Now, he screams and cries until it's over. I don't know what happened, but I wish he would enjoy them again. At least now he'll snuggle with me after. :)

The Punishers

I believe it was T-man who christened us "The Ponder Punishers" just before we played the first set of our brief, but rockin' world tour.

My husband told me a couple of weeks ago that he thought I needed a hobby. Scrapbooking, he suggested. I am not creative enough to take up scrapbooking, not to mention the fact that I don't know where in my day I would fit it in. So, I decided that this might be a good alternative. We'll see how it goes.

This picture is a couple of months old, but it's one of my favorites.
